Patient referral

Any patient with chronic kidney disease approaching or requiring renal replacement therapy should be considered for renal transplantation. A diagram outlining the referral process can be found in the Patient Referral.pdf

The most important risk to potential recipients is coronary artery disease and in cases of doubt or where non-invasive assessment is abnormal then coronary angiography will be needed
