Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital

The Kidney Unit at the Royal Devon & Exeter Foundation Trust provides renal services for a population of around 900,000 across Exeter, North Devon, Torbay and much of Somerset.  As a close-knit, multi-disciplinary team we aim to provide holistic, evidence based care and information to renal patients and their families.

We treat patients with acute (usually reversible) kidney failure, chronic (usually irreversible) kidney failure and patients who require haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis as well as patients with a kidney transplant.

The Renal Service comprises a comprehensive out patient clinic service, a 26 bed inpatient and emergency dialysis area, day case service, renal anaemia service, haemodialysis unit and satellite haemodialysis units at South Molton, Newton Abbot, Honiton, Heavitree, Taunton and Yeovil.
