Royal Cornwall (Treliske) Hospital, Truro

The Royal Cornwall (Treliske) Hospital can be found on the A390 on the outskirts of Truro, next to the Treliske retail park and close to Truro College and Leisure Centre at Gloweth.

The hospital is well signposted on the approaches to Truro from Redruth, Falmouth and St Austell directions.

Renal services for Cornwall are based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.

Renal patients are looked after by a team of 3 consultants, Dr P Johnston, Dr R Parry and Dr J Stratton.  The 3 consultants are backed up by a team of specialist nurses and junior medical staff.

We run a dedicated renal transplant follow up clinic and patients usually return from Derriford Hospital at about 3 months post transplantation.  Further follow up then continues here in Truro through the weekly transplant clinic that is supported by a transplant nurse specialist.  There is continued close liaison with transplant specialists at Plymouth and we currently look after approximately 100 transplant recipients.
